Digital Tripwire didn't start as a security company. It started as a question that wouldn't go away.
The original idea was simple. An NFC sticker for digital retargeting. Tap your phone on a product, get served a relevant ad later. A marketing tool. That's all it was supposed to be.
But somewhere in the development process, the question shifted. Not "how do we track engagement?" but "what if this technology could actually protect people?"
Specifically, kids.
That question changed everything. The product pivoted from marketing tech to personal safety. From tracking clicks to logging proximity. From selling ads to building evidence. The NFC sticker became a BLE sensor. The retargeting pixel became a forensic log. The marketing tool became a silent witness.
And every time we thought we'd gone far enough, we pushed further. What started as "can we do this?" became "why doesn't this already exist?"
We looked at the market. AirTags track location. Cameras record video. But nothing captures proximity data at the moment of disturbance. Nothing logs which devices were within 10 feet of your child's backpack when it was opened by someone who shouldn't have been there. Nothing creates forensic-grade evidence from a grain-of-rice sensor that runs for 5 years without charging.
So we built it.
Not because there was a gap in the market. Because there was a gap in what parents, homeowners, and everyday people deserved to have access to. The technology to know who was near the things and people they care about most.
We asked former FBI forensics investigators, federal prosecutors, and family court judges. They'd never seen BLE proximity data used as evidence. Until now.

84% of stolen property is never recovered. 56% of violent crimes go unsolved. Not because the technology doesn't exist. Because nobody built it for the people who need it most.
