Yacht & Marine Security

Your Yacht Has a
$50,000 Interior.
It Sits Unattended
340 Days a Year.

Marina cameras cover the dock. Not your boat. If someone boards at 2am and takes the electronics, the navigation system, the fishing gear, you have nothing. Until now.

Protect Your Vessel
The Problem
Cameras Watch the Dock.
Not Your Boat.

Your yacht is one of the most valuable things you own. It's also one of the least protected. It sits at a marina slip, accessible by anyone who walks down the dock. The marina has cameras on the parking lot and the main walkway. Maybe the fuel dock. But your vessel? That's your problem.

A thief boards at night, takes $30,000 in electronics, fishing equipment, and personal items. You find out the next morning. You call the marina. They check the cameras. All they see is someone walking down a dock. No face. No ID. No evidence of what happened on your boat.

The Solution
Every Surface Remembers
Who Touched It

Place Digital Tripwire nodes throughout your yacht. Helm console, cabin entry, electronics bay, swim platform, engine compartment. The hub plugs into any 12V USB outlet on the boat. No marina Wi-Fi needed. LTE-M cellular goes direct to cloud.

If anyone boards and touches anything, the accelerometer triggers a scan. Every phone, smartwatch, and Bluetooth device within 10 feet is logged. MAC address, signal strength, distance, timestamp. Encrypted. Uploaded. Before they step off the boat.

  • LTE-M cellular. No marina Wi-Fi required.
  • USB-powered hub. Plugs into your 12V system.
  • Salt-air resistant node adhesive.
  • 3-5 year node battery. No maintenance.
  • Works in covered slips, open docks, and dry storage.
The Node Ecosystem
Your Vessel. Protected
From Bow to Stern.

Nodes placed throughout your yacht create an invisible mesh of proximity sensors. Every boarding, every touch, every disturbance is logged.

Placement Guide
8 Spots That Cover Your Entire Vessel

Strategic node placement ensures full coverage from bow to stern. Each node is color matched to your interior so it disappears on teak, fiberglass, leather, or canvas.

H
Helm Console
Under the dash or behind the instrument panel. First thing a thief touches.
S
Salon Entry
Inside the sliding door frame. Logs everyone who enters the cabin.
M
Master Cabin
Behind a cabinet or under a shelf. Protects valuables stored below deck.
G
Galley
Inside a drawer or cabinet. Covers the interior traffic flow.
E
Electronics Bay
Behind the nav system or radar unit. The highest-value target on most vessels.
P
Swim Platform
Stern access point. Where swimmers, dock workers, and contractors board the vessel.
N
Engine Room
On the engine housing. Detects unauthorized access to mechanical systems.
D
Hub (Salon)
Plugged into any 12V USB outlet. Coordinates every node and uploads via cellular.
Charter Protection
Your Boat. Their Hands.
Your Evidence.

You charter your yacht for the season. A week later, the captain reports damage to the nav system and two missing rod-and-reel combos. The charter guests deny everything. Without evidence, you eat the cost.

With Digital Tripwire, every interaction is logged. You know exactly which devices were present when the electronics bay was accessed, when the swim platform was crossed, and who was aboard at 3am when nobody was supposed to be below deck.

  • Timestamped proximity logs for every charter period
  • Know who was where and when on your vessel
  • Exportable evidence for damage claims
  • Protect your asset without confrontation
  • Works with crewed and bareboat charters

Insurance Claims
Your Claim Says "Stolen."
Now You Have Proof.

Marine insurance claims without evidence are a fight. The adjuster wants documentation. You have a police report that says "theft of personal property from vessel." That's it. No timestamp. No suspect information. No proof of when or how it happened.

Digital Tripwire provides forensic-grade proximity data that timestamps the exact moment your property was disturbed, logs every device that was present, and exports a chain-of-custody document designed for claims and legal proceedings. Your claim goes from "someone stole my stuff" to "here's exactly when it happened and whose phone was 6 feet away."

Marine FAQ
Common Questions
Does it work in a marina with weak cell signal?+
Digital Tripwire uses LTE-M, which is specifically designed for IoT devices and has significantly better building/structure penetration than standard LTE. It works in covered slips, below deck, and in most marina environments. If cellular signal is unavailable, the device stores scan data locally and uploads when connectivity is restored.
How does it handle the marine environment?+
The hub is designed for indoor use and should be placed in a protected area like the cabin, helm station, or electronics bay. Nodes use adhesive rated for marine environments including humidity and salt air. For exposed deck applications, protective node housings are available.
Can I monitor the boat when I'm not there?+
Yes. The hub sends a heartbeat ping every 15 minutes confirming its location and that all nodes are connected. If any node detects disturbance, you receive an immediate push notification on your phone with the full proximity log. You can be 1,000 miles away and know exactly what's happening on your boat.
How many nodes do I need for a typical yacht?+
For a 40-60 foot yacht, we recommend 6-8 nodes covering the key access points: helm, salon entry, master cabin, electronics bay, galley, swim platform, and engine room. The Protection Plus plan supports up to 20 devices on a single dashboard, which covers even the largest vessels.
Does the hub drain my boat battery?+
The hub draws minimal power, comparable to a phone charger on standby. If your vessel has shore power or a battery maintenance system (which most docked vessels do), the draw is negligible. For vessels in dry storage without power, we recommend a small portable battery pack that can run the hub for weeks.
Protect Your Vessel
The Threat Isn't Always
at 2 AM.

Sometimes it's the marina staffer. The charter guest. The contractor you trusted. Digital Tripwire logs every device that came within 10 feet of your valuables, whether you were there or not. $19.99/month. 8 nodes. Full vessel coverage.
